At long last, the Minnesota Supreme Court had made the title "Senator Al Franken" official. After nearly 8 months of recounts and court battles, the court ruled that Franken had "received the highest number of votes legally cast". Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty and Secretary of State Mark Ritchie promptly moved to certify the election results following the ruling (if you want to call 8 months prompt).
